After a stint as a journalist, I embarked on a 10-year in-house editorial career in the children's industry before going full-time freelance in 2002. Now I specialize in writing and editing for the children's trade, S&L, and K–12 educational markets, typically working on books (both fiction and nonfiction) and supplemental curricular materials. I also write articles, personal essays, professional-development materials for writers and editors, book and product reviews, cover copy, synopses, and more.
As a children's author, I've written 100+ books, including four titles in Lerner's popular Heroes of World War II series for ages 8–12 (2018) and the professional-development booklet Just the Facts: On Researching Your Nonfiction Children's Book (EFA, 2020).
