I write novels that are considered "upmarket"—books that straddle the line between literary and commercial, but I read widely in most genres. I love books that are character driven. I love story, so plot is important to me. I have a soft spot for anything that takes place in New England, rural stories, books that take place in the world of food, books that focus on any aspect of nature, animals and ecology, and love stories of any stripe. If your book is considered quirky I am your target audience.
Novels that I would not be a good reader for: Anything super dark or violent.
