If you are working through a first draft I can help you develop your voice and craft as you move towards a final draft. I read and provide written comments and suggestions for your draft and follow up with a 60-minute phone call. I bring to the table 30 years of experience as a writer and artistic director of the acclaimed touring theatre collective, Guerrilla Girls On Tour. I approached my low residency MFA program at Queens University with a goal: to have a solid book proposal by graduation. An agent and book deal soon followed. I bring this experience, along with my many years of being a working writer, to help other writers refine and publish their work and to set up a plan that will help them grow their creative business. As an artist who has written applications and received grants, residencies, awards and fellowships I can also help you with your artist statements, work samples, project goals and MFA applications.
