I have decades of experience providing high-level translation services between English and Spanish and Spanish and English, across a wide array of specialized fields.
I am a native speaker of both English and Spanish, have advanced oral, written, and research skills in each, and have lived in several English- and Spanish-speaking lands.
While I transitioned to full-time lexicography in 1991, I continue to provide exacting, precise, and conceptually-driven translations. My work transcends literal substitution; I ensure accuracy by addressing the linguistic, psychological, and sociocultural nuances of every project.
My impact on the field is global; as the author of thirteen scholarly bilingual dictionaries—totaling over 1,000,000 entries for publishers like Wiley, Routledge, and Wolters Kluwer—my work has served as a constant resource for countless translators worldwide. Therefore, I have also been a part of hundreds of thousands or perhaps even millions of translations.
The areas of expertise covered by my dictionaries include psychology and psychiatry, law, electrical and computer engineering, chemistry, and business.
